Gatewrights is looking for quality photographs of our gates in situ.
We therefore decided to reward any of our customers that can send us photos of their gates once fitted on their property that we use on our site.
If we use your photographs of the front of your gate on our website we will give you £30. If we use a picture of the rear of your gates, we will pay you an additional £20, meaning you could earn yourself £50 for a few minutes work.
(*This will be a cheque sent in the post)
This may sound easy “Just a couple of shots and I’m in the money” but there are a few pointers that can be used to take a good quality, well lit and clear photograph.
We have put together a gallery of some great and some not so great shots to give an idea of what we’re after.
Well that's all the help you need so get snapping. You can send your photos by email or disc in the post. Our email address is photo@gatewrights.co.uk or our address is:

Here are some photos we have taken to show you what we need.
Perfect!!!!! Great sunshine, nice and clear and the pillars don’t look like they are leaning over too much. We would happily use this photo and it would be £50 in your pocket.
Again just what we need light, crisp and clear with just enough background.
Obviously your gate would be installed!!
Again the wall looks as though it’s leaning over the opposite way to the photo above.
This is because the photographer is standing too high and should bend down a little to get the wall level with the edge of the camera screen. So remember lower or raise the camera to get the vertical edges looking upright.
The customer that took this photo took it from a slight angle to the gates instead of head on which is fine but the gates aren’t central in the picture, also if the customer had stood up rather than taking it knelt down the left hand pillar wouldn't look as though it’s leaning in. Other than that, good lighting and clear.
Again could have been a really nice shot if the sun had been out and the car wasn’t in the way.
This photo has been take too far from the gates and as you can see the gates look as though they aren't level. If the photographer had tilted the camera slightly to level the gates and taken a few steps forward this could have been a great shot.
