1. If you are collecting from our workshop please double check your order is ready before you set off, this will save you time when you arrive and ensure that you do not have a wasted journey if the gates are not ready.
2. When ordering hinges and latches please state your preference of either black or galvanised or we shall supply according to stock.
3. When ordering, please state whether left or right hanging looking at the face of the gate or we shall supply according to stock.
4. Made to order products require payment with order. On particularly large orders we may accept a deposit. All goods remain the property of Gatewrights until paid for in full and you have collected them or they have been dispatched from our workshop.
5. We cannot guarantee against the natural movement, splits or shakes of timber products.
6. Please ensure that you are in receipt of your goods before committing to an installation date. Gatewrights cannot be held responsible for any consequential expenses if delivery is delayed because each product is made to order by hand and the quoted lead times are our approximate working schedule. Occasionally, it may take longer to complete your order.
7. When your gates are delivered, it is important that you check thoroughly for damage. Although this is rare, if you sign for an item and it is damaged, it will be difficult to prove that it was not damaged after it was delivered. The delivery is insured, but the couriers are very clear that if it is signed for, they will not even consider a claim. It is therefore important that you take the time to ensure you are happy before signing for your goods. Please do not sign as "unchecked".
8. If you have any initial complaints (size errors, quality control) please let us know as soon as possible (ideally within three days of receiving your order).
9. Cancellations. You have seven working days from from the day after you receive
your goods to inform us you do not wish to keep them. We will refund all monies paid.
You will cover the cost of returning the items to us. You have a statutory duty to
take reasonable care of the goods while they are in your possession. If you have
modified the product (ie. drilled holes in the gate) you will be deemed not to have
taken reasonable care of the goods and we will take action to recover the costs as
a result of this. These cancellation rights are not applicable to ‘made-
10. Timber size specification may vary from stated website sizes. In some cases, frame sizes can vary up to 15mm from stated specification.
This does not affect your statutory rights
